Mexico Trip (Part One): Arrival (04/30/08)

NOTE: Pictures will have to come later I just wanted something for the record as it's fresh.

As I was freaking out major about not having enough stuff I finally got all things packing the day before and had little sleep being having to wake up at 4 to take a shower and make sure I get on the flight on time... Tina and her mom picked me up and we headed to the Des Moines Intl' (funny how they say International when they don't have any flights straight out "Internationally") So we got our luggage checked, showed our passports, and received our boarding passes.

As we headed up to the gate it looks like we're the last ones in EDS to make it there oh well at least we weren't late I said a small "Hi" to one of them and we headed into the plane. Not much really exciting about the plane ride just the same stuff... got some soda and just slept the ride there, then arrived to Houston, Texas. It's always funny going to another city's Airport it's always much more hectic and more massive then the one we have in Des Moines, like their parking garage is as big as our airport... it's sad but whatever. So there we got some lunch and boarded our next plane. This plane was the plane that was going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico W00T! We had 3 seats to ourselves so that's always a plus, I was just listening to music on my iPhone the entire way there and reading some magazines I purchased from the Des Moines airport, but once again nothing new plane rides are always the same...

Then it happened, we have reached to our destination, PUERTO VALLARTA BABY!!! When we first left the plane we walked into the airport and it was kind of not the nicest airport I've been through it kind of reminds me of almost a jail, we had to go through customs they just stamped our paperwork and gestured to move forward... He didn't speak any English to me so I just uhh kept going... We got our luggage from baggage claim and just didn't know where to go... luckily they knew that Sprint are coming down so we saw a big crowd and they gave us bottled water and lead us into the bus. It was hot and even more on the bus and I still had my sweatshirt on that I was wearing through the trip, but finally I took that off and we have reached to our hotel, Marriott CasaMagna.

Oh man the moment you step in, the scenery is just breathtaking there were flowers all over so much greenery with almost no walls. It just seemed to be so open you can straight through the back and spot the swimming pool and yes the ocean right behind it. We went to were all the Sprint folks were checking in and right from the bat they were offering free margaritas so I was like Hell Yes I'll take one... or three. Anyway we checked in got our key card, changed our activity for Friday to do snorkeling, got some food and headed into the room and waited for our later activity Sprint had planned.
